North Canaan Senior League Baseball

Senior League Baseball participates in the Colonial Baseball League consisting of teams in the Northwest corner of Connecticut and teams from New York State. It is for ages 13-16 for players from North Canaan and Falls Village. The Season is played during June and July. Signups take place in April and May. Home games are played at the Same Eddy Field.

North Canaan Youth Softball

There are two age groups for North Canaan Youth Softball, 3-5 grades and 6-8 grades for players from Region One. The season takes place during May and June with signups occurring during April. Home games are played at Segalla Field.

North Canaan Summer League Baseball

North Canaan Summer League Baseball carries from year to year but has moved into a regional program where players 8-12 meet at one location and divide up into teams to play games.

North Canaan Youth Soccer

North Canaan Youth Soccer participates in the Region 1 Recreational Soccer Program. We have four age groups, a kindergarten program, U8 co-ed, U10, and U12. The season is during the months of September and October and sign-ups begin in the spring and go through the summer. The program takes place at HVRHS.

North Canaan Swim Team

The North Canaan Swim Team participates in the Housatonic Valley Swim League. The season is during the month of July and sign-ups take place during April, May and June. Please find the registration form under the Sign-Up tab. It is a co-ed team for ages 5 and up. Home meets take place at the Town Pool.

North Canaan Ski Club

The North Canaan Ski Club is Rec-sponsored ski trips to Mohawk Mountain for students at North Canaan Elementary School. We sponsor four trips per year for 4th- 8th graders. No experience is needed. Trips take place during January and February on Tuesdays after school and signups are each fall in October and November.

North Canaan Swim Lessons

Swim Lessons are provided by the North Canaan Recreation at the town pool every summer. There are two, three-week sessions of four lessons per week taught by the pool’s lifeguards. There are five levels of lessons ranging from inexperienced and new to very experienced. Time varies on the level but occurs from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday –Thursday. Signups occur in April, May, and June with lessons beginning in July and running to mid-August.

Canaan Youth Basketball

CYB participates in the Region 1 Basketball Program. The season runs from November through February and sign-ups take place during October. The programs available are Kindergarten Basketball which takes place at NCES on Friday nights, 1-2 grade, 3-4 grade, and 5-6 grade which takes place at HVRHS. There is also travel basketball available through Housy Hoops for 5-6 and 7-8 grades.
